History of Mid American Water and Plumbing Inc.

Mid-American Water & Plumbing originated as a home based business in 1987, started by Bruce Ewing. In order to make ends meet Bruce would often go door-to-door, meeting with home and business owners, leaving his business card and offering to do any job, large or small. The company was incorporated on March 30, 1990.

Beginning in 1992, Mid-American Water & Plumbing, Inc. hired a few employees and entered the world of government contracting by working with a General Contractor on the Job Order Contract (JOC) at Fort Riley, Kansas. Mid-American is proud to have also worked successfully with each succeeding General Contractor on the JOC contract at Fort Riley since that time.

While the majority of our contract work is at Fort Riley, we have also traveled to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Fort Benning, Georgia; and Fort Polk, Louisiana.

In addition to working on Government contracts, during the past 20 years the company has worked with numerous General Contractors and successfully completed a variety of remodel, repair and new construction projects for educational facilities, private businesses, and government agencies. Plumbing, HVAC, boiler replacement, cooling tower repairs and replacements, and refrigeration are just a sample of the diversity of projects we are willing and able to undertake.

Mid-American Water & Plumbing, Inc. also specializes in water treatments systems. We work with clients to design and install the type and size of water softener and reverse osmosis system best for their family needs.

Throughout the years Mid-American Water & Plumbing, Inc. has transformed from it's beginnings as a one-man operation with an old, beat-up pick up truck to a full service Mechanical Contractor with an average of 50 full-time employees.
